How To Choose The Best Bean Bag
Bean bag chairs are a great way of dressing up any room, however big or small it is. Most importantly, they can also be used to furnish different rooms at home, whether it is your living room or your children's bedroom. Besides that, you can also use a bean bag in your living room as an extra chair. The good thing about them is that they can be stored in a closet and pulled out when the kids have friends over. When you go out shopping for a bean bag, these are some of the things to keep in mind.
First, you need to consider the fabric used in making the chair. With a wide variety of bean bags available in the market today, there are so many fabrics to choose from. Vinyl is one of the common fabrics used in making bean bags. While it is true that vinyl is uncomfortable and too sticky, it is one of the fabrics that is so easy to clean and maintain. You can also choose a bean bag made of leather, fur, denim, microfiber or cotton. The best fabric should be of high-quality and easy to clean.
Besides the aforementioned, it is also important that you consider the size of the chair. In most cases, bean bag chairs that resemble a pear often offer better back support because they are taller and cover more of the body. A bean bag that resembles a pancake can work better as a coffee table. There are some bean bags that are specifically designed for children which mean that they should be a little smaller.
Most importantly, you should consider the fill of the chair before buying it. Good bean bags are those that have high-quality recycled polystyrene fill. You need personalized bean bags that have enough fill to offer comfortable support. Besides being soft, polystyrene is also much stronger and has the ability to withstand compression without losing its original form. If you care about the environment, it is advisable that you choose one which is 100% recyclable. A good polystyrene fabric should comply to the standards of flammability and should be fire retardant.
The greatest thing about bean bags is that they come in different designs at a relatively affordable price. The beauty with bean bags is that you can get one in a variety of designs or you can as well get one custom-made for you in case you don't like the available designs. The good thing about these chairs is that one can use them as a design guide when doing design work in different rooms at home. Besides that, one can also use these items to raise money during a charity event by customizing the bean bag.
